A collaboration of coast and countryside organisations on The Lizard Peninsula

National Character Area profiles are intended to help organisations, individuals and communities achieve a more sustainable future. The profiles include a description of the key ecosystem services provided in each character area and how these may benefit people, wildlife and the economy. They identify potential opportunities for positive environmental change and provide the best available information and evidence as a context for local decision making and action.

The Lizard profile will be used to inform a multitude of different bodies including the Linking the Lizard Partnership about the areas intrinsic qualities, key characteristics and the natural assets and processes associated with a range of key ecosystem services. We hope that these documents will become a foundation for many projects that protect and deliver enhancements to the area as they are already doing in other character areas.

We would be interested to hear from you with any comments about the document or ways in which you feel it could be used within your area or to inform your work and aims.
